You got to love the 1080p, way clearer pictrue but with a smaller screen like a 22inch it really won't make that big of a difference. Personally I like Samsung better than most companies but with Samsung i find you are pay a lot extra just because of the well known name brand. but like a salesman told me, when you are in the store looking and comparing tv's side by side you can notice a difference but when you bring it home and don't have anything to compare to then it will look that much better. If you are buying it for video games then I would choose the sharp 1080p but anything else I would pick Samsung
